Great Basin Environmental Education Center

General Information

The Great Basin Environmental Education Center is located within the GBER and was previously the headquarters facility for the same until it was turned over to Snow College on a long-term lease. It includes the buildings at the headquarters complex at 8,850 ft. and the area immediately surrounding them and the Alpine Cabin located at 10,200 ft. and a small area surrounding it. The primary function is environment-related educational activities.

Education Programs/Courses offered: Mythology of the Night Skies, Studies of Native American Cultures, Wilderness Medicine, Photography Workshops,
Outreach Programs/Courses offered: Conferences for Resource Managers, Field Trips for Elementary and Middle School students, Career camps for High School Students, General Public workshop.
